Turks & Caicos Destination Wedding
British Overseas Territory · Caribbean
Turks & Caicos has one thing no other Caribbean destination can claim: Grace Bay Beach, consistently voted the world's best beach. The water is an almost impossible shade of turquoise, the sand is powdery white, and the resort scene is distinctly upscale without being pretentious. It's a smaller, quieter, more exclusive alternative to the all-inclusive mega-resorts of Cancun or Punta Cana, perfect for couples who want Caribbean beauty without the crowds.

Legal requirements
Legal ceremony is straightforward
Turks & Caicos allows foreigners to legally marry. You must be present in the islands for at least 48 hours before applying for a marriage license. Required documents: valid passports, notarized copies of birth certificates, and proof of single status. If divorced, a certified decree absolute is needed. Marriage license costs US $250 from the Registrar General's Office in Providenciales. Two witnesses (other than the officiant) must be present. Note: same-sex marriage ceremonies cannot be performed in TCI, though a 2025 Court of Appeal ruling requires recognition of same-sex marriages from other jurisdictions for immigration purposes.
Always verify current requirements with local authorities or your wedding planner before finalizing plans.
