Legal ceremony is straightforward
Aruba (part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands) allows foreigners to legally marry. The civil ceremony must take place at the historic city hall in Oranjestad. Required documents: long-form birth certificates (apostilled), valid passports, certificate of no impediment (apostilled, not older than 6 months), and completed Declaration of Marriage Intent and Single Status forms. All documents must be submitted at least one month before the wedding date. Two witnesses aged 18+ required. If divorced, a complete divorce decree is needed.
